General Information

Meadow Lake is located 5 miles north and 1 mile east (on 180th Street) of Greenfield, Iowa. This 42-acre lake with a boat ramp and fishing is located in the midst of a 320-acre wooded meadow. Public hunting is allowed.

Primitive camping is available.

Fishing, Boating, & Docks

Meadow Lake provides excellent fishing year-round. There is one paved and one unpaved boat ramp. Meadow Lake has bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, grasscarp, and sunfish. Boat motor not to exceed 10 h.p. operated at no wake speed are allowed on Meadow Lake. Daily Limits for Adair County Public Lakes: Bass - 3; Walleye - 5; Catfish - 8. The minimum length on bass in all Adair County Public Lakes is 15 inches. State Law requires the immediate release of all bass under 15 inches.

Hunting

Meadow Lake is a state owned public hunting and fishing area. The public wildlife area is maintained by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Bays Branch Wildlife Unit.
