2006-2007 Season Highlights
On January 20, 2007, Sam Groves became the fifth wrestler in tournament history to win four John J. Harris Invitational championships. Groves, who won at 140, joins Mario Galanakis of NV and three Winterset wrestlers as four-timers.
On February 17, 2007, at the District Tournament, Sam Groves set a new school record for wins, 156-17. Sam also became the second NV wrestler to qualify for the State Tournament four times. Mario Galanakis was the first wrestler to accomplish this feat.
Another individual highlight at the 52nd annual John J. Harris Invitational was Coach Riley's induction into the John J. Harris Hall of Fame. During his 10 years as head wrestling coach at Greenfield, Riley had 9 State Champions and 2 team runner-up finishes at State.
Congratulations to the team for setting a new school record for dual-meet wins at 15-1 for the 2006-2007 season.
Coach Hatch named District Coach of the Year in 2007!
