All-State Music Festival Five Nodaway Valley students will participate in the Iowa All-State Music Festival this week: Stephen H, Chad V, Philip H, Sam L and David H. Becca S was selected to participate in the Opus Honor Choir as well.

Student Council Blood Drive The Nodaway Valley High School Student Council will host a blood drive on Monday, December 7, at St. John's Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. You may call the high school office (743-6141) to schedule an appointment or contact Mrs. Keuning or Mrs. Speer. Our goal is 80 units.

STATE CHAMPIONS! Congratulations to the NV Girls Cross Country team as they captured the 2009 Class 1A Team Title on October 31! NV captured the title by one point over Dike-New Hartford! Susan H came in first for the Wolverines, capturing 6th Place, and earning a spot on the All-State Cross Country Team! Running for NV were Susan, Kristin K, Lauren B, Bethni J, Brittni J, Paige J, and Robyn K. Three of the top four teams ran in the Regional Meet held at Greenfield on October 26. State Cross Country Coach of the Year Congratulations to Coach Darrell Burmeister on his selection as Girls Class 1A State Coach of the Year, a very deserved recognition by the Iowa Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association.

H1N1 Vaccinations Updated November 10 NV office personnel can no longer accept H1N1 permission forms. Any student who has not turned in a form or turned the form in late for the East elementary will have to watch for a public clinic to receive the vaccine.
